Need advice on how to start a business from home?

I'm looking to start selling some home made organic beauty products and would like to know how to start, I've already got the business plan figured out. I will be working on my own, selling mainly online or to local businesses. I'm also planning to import some oils from other countries. Please let me know what type of business ownership do I need? And what other steps I need to take in order to start my home business! Thank you!Need advice on how to start a business from home?

Organic beauty products are becoming in demand as more and more people are being educated about how bad chemicals are for them. I am also in the field of health and nutrition (for 30 years now). My biggest challenge was how to market (both online and offline) which is the life blood of any business. What's a business without customers, right?

I looked up this information for you off the website in the source box below. I didn't want to take a lot of room here within the text to type out all I found, but I think if you click on it, you will find the information there invaluable.

Hope this helps.
first thing is you will need a website. or you can easily sell your products on ebay then you dont need to create a website. Just open an ebay store. The type of ownership, you should go down to your local countys office tell them what you are starting and they will help you set everything up. but before you do all this, either build your site or start listing your items on ebay. Then once you start moving lots of volume then go down to your local countys office.

I just put this site together. please check it out and let me now what you think. http://www.eprofitstoday.com Thank you very much.

They have one of the best site builders that i have ever used. They will also host it for you.
If you are selling online then you'll need a low cost online shop that professional and secure.

If you're a sole trader then you can just start trading get an accountant to help you with tax.

Your biggest focus will be getting people to your online store and getting the local community to be aware of your products.

Obvious routes are small ads in local press and leaflet distribution.

Plus you can get some free PR if you offer something to a local charity and inform the local press. Find ways to get as much free exposure as possible.

I have offered free advertising on my site and recieved loads of coverage which resulted in clients.
I own a salon.. My suggestion would be to really do your homework. I know going green is the thing BUT when you meet someone who is really into being green.. What do they look like?? NOT very product friendly..Meaning the MAtrix and the SEXY line along with countles other salon products have tried to go green BUT people who are green are not product junkies! They are almost always a very natural person there fore the idea is a great one but im not sure it's a super idea. I have the line motives in my salon and they have taken steps to become green and eco friendly with their packaging but when someone wants make-up 99% of the time they are already wearing make up and don't care about the enviroment! Just be carful ANDmakesure your company is NOT a MLM company! because selling beauty products on the internet is NOT a great market.. takeit from me clients want to smell and feel those products. If you want more info just e-mail me uniquestylz15131@yahoo.com
To test the ideal market for your product, it would be good to do a ';test'; ad to determine the response that you would receive when selling your products on a full-time basis. If the response is not what you are looking for, you can always change your advertisement copy. Great places to test this out is Craigslist and Ebay. Good Luck!
Take a minute to take the tour.
