I want to start a small hosting business. about how much money will I need? And any other advice?

I need to look much further into this, but I was hoping I might be able to make some side money. I have some extra space and free electric at my apartment and a few thousand dollars (or a little more if nessasary) to start. I can put more money into it to make it bigger and better as time goes on and business gets better. Getting into the hosting game is a really exciting and fun thing to do. There are a number of things to consider:





1. Do you want to own the hardware and pay for the bandwidth or lease it?


2. Do you want to provide the technical support or have a 3rd party handle it.


3. If you are going to provide tech support, will you have phone, email, online helpdesk, live chat etc.? Will you have time to handle the volume of inquiries doing it on the side?
