sba.gov website.....has all the info you will need. Also note there is a function for ';score counselors';....locate one near you, they will answer questions and walk you through putting a business plan together...what you need to do first. It is important that you are aware of all the regulations you need to meet (Federal, State, County, City), as that is the reason most small businesses fail. (former SBA/DC exec.mgr)Wheres the best place to get advice on how to start up your own business only sensible answers please?

Good LuckWheres the best place to get advice on how to start up your own business only sensible answers please?
Well, it's not Yahoo Answers, I can tell you that much.
Most small businesses are just started by the proprietor without any advice, or maybe from a friend who has already done the same thing. Presumably you know what you want to do as your business. And presumably you know who it is aimed at. You need a set of paperwork with your company heading. You need letterheads, quotations, deleivery notes (maybe), invoices and statements. You need to keep records of all the expenses incurred in running your business. You need a seperate bank account. What else do you need?
Have you considered a small business coach? They can help you through all aspects of your business from idea and start up to operations.

call SBA small business administration and ask for advise.
,you have one in your area, let your finger do the walking.....
You need to have a good idea what you want to do - make an appointment with the bank, he will give you guidance, a package and referr you onto another person once you have made a business plan (the pack will guide you on this) also take a look on businesslink - they will help for UK businesses but may have links to help you - it helped me with Morocco.
