Would you please give advice about starting up a small business.?

I've just started importing rubbish in from China and I have several orders in. Could anyone give me some advice about tax, customer relations etc etc. What were your succeses and downfalls? Thank you kind people.Would you please give advice about starting up a small business.?
Good for you, bit of advice is if there's more than just one of you in the business, get a legal agreement on paper to agree who's put what percentage into the business, and if the business goes under who bears what percentage of the financial liability. Go to business events, they were a brilliant chance to see others in the same line of business. Get an accountant if you've not already got one, get your bank to recommend one.Would you please give advice about starting up a small business.?
rubbish? trash?? I'll ignore that for now. Call city/county and get all permits. Call state to find out about further registration and tax; federal tax can be as simple as a Sch C included with your 1040 or a separate business entity such as a Small Corporation which files an 1120S or a partnership which files a 1065 but actually flows most of the income down to the 1040 of the partners via a K1 form. Got it? See a bookkeeper who will also help with employee taxes and forms to file quarterly, state and federal.
