I am interested in starting a home cleaning business. Can anyone offer any advice on getting started?

Some other good sources are:

http://www.sba.gov

http://www.score.org

Those sites will give you insight on how to raise start up capital and writing business plans as well as legal assistance I think.I am interested in starting a home cleaning business. Can anyone offer any advice on getting started?
Yes, get bonded and get limited liability insurance. That protects you and your customer. First... Go to www.globalcleaningassociation.com and read through the forums. Introduce yourself and you will find a wealth of information. What to charge, marketing, solving cleaning issues, customer relations... You name it and it's there. There's sections for residential and commercial cleaning.

All you need to know is there and what you don't find just ask, the community is just so helpful and kind. Good luck on your new business!! You can do it! MichelleI am interested in starting a home cleaning business. Can anyone offer any advice on getting started?
It's great to see you wanting to do this, and it's MUCH easier than you realise. I started a domestic cleaning business and within two years had many cleaners and management in place running the day to day. I was free to start other ventures.

I have more advice than I could write in this little box, I actually run a course here in Sydney, Australia that helps people do this! But in answering your question, I can't help with the legals as i'm from Australia, but if you want to get clients FAST, then do up a flier, a great book to read on how to do a flier is 'Cash, Customers and Ads That Sell' by Brad Sugars. Then start dropping them in the area. If there is a house that you can get to the front door then knock on it and say 'hi, my name is xxx, i do house cleaning in this area and was just popping by to see if you were intersted in a free quote?';, or something like that.

1000 fliers should = 1-2 leads. 1hr (40 houses) of door knocking should = 1 lead.

Good luck!!!

There are two ebooks on how to start a house cleaning business that tell you what you need to do legally, how to get clients, and how to bid on jobs. One of the ebooks is at http://housecleaning.cleanuptheprofit.co鈥?/a> and the other one is at http://theonlineanswers.com/housecleanin鈥?/a>

Also, for advertising, you may want to use craigslist.com in the small biz section-its free to advertise and its a very popular site
Hi there, Why tire yourself? You have to get people to do these kind of job. Tried it before but failed due to fast turnover of workers. I have something that I tried and succeeded. Check this out and if you are still interested mail me back. www.turndreamstoreality.com
